NARS Duo Eyeshadow - Idolde

Isn't it a beauty?

I am soo blown away by NARS recently. The consistency of their powders - Laguna Bronzer, Orgasm Blush and this eyeshadow duo -are phenomenal. No fallout and incredible pigmentation!

This duo has two very orange based shades described as "frosted ginger and shimmering copper" which are incredible hues for my eye colour - orange and yellow tones really compliment and enhance blue.

I use the lighter colour all over my eyelid and apply the darker shade towards the outer corners and into the crease before blending with the trusty MAC 217 brush to fade together. I then take the lighter shade and run a little across my lower lash line to complete the look. You could also take the darker shade all over the eyelid with a matte brown in the crease and on the lower lash line for a more smokey eye.

These shadows are effortless to blend and really soft and creamy?! I can see this duo lasting a long time as the powder is finely milled so you don't need a lot of product and it is still amazingly pigmented. Plus the longevity surpasses even some MAC eyeshadows that I have tried.

I absolutely adore the duo and would definitely recommend it - especially if you have blue/green eyes

It's a little pricey - at £25 for two eyeshadows - but in my opinion it is totally worth it!

Have you tried any NARS shadows?

I'm extremely tempted to invest in another one and would love to hear any of your recommendations!

Chanel Les 4 Ombres - 39 Raffinement

Hello Lovelies

The Chanel 2013 Spring collection 'Printemps Precieux'
was released just before Christmas last year so excuse me if this review is a little late as i didn't purchase this till late January.

And It's taken my a while to review this particular product.

Take a moment to admire the packaging...

The colours are simply gorgeous! Very subtle and easy to pull off.

There's a Rich mauve, a pearly pink beige, a shimmering lilac and a deep eggplant. Shades which would flatter the majority of skin types and in particular more mature eyes.

The palette is also very easy to use and you don't need that much product to achieve your desired look

As much as I wanted to love this product and rave about it I can't. I found there wasn't much staying power with the eyeshadows (if you don't use eyeshadow primer they will last around 3 hours) and I don't have oily eyelids. Mine are as dry as a bone!

The shadows are also rather powdery?! I haven't bought an eyeshadow quad from Chanel before so I'm not entirely sure if that is normal.

I normally adore Chanel but I still am unsure how I really feel about this product. It certainly looks amazing but It just doesn't last long enough on my eyelids for me to love it.

You could probably find dupes for all these shadows by MAC but at a higher price.

However you get certain things with Chanel. You get ease of use and shadows that don’t suffer from fallout. You also get to feel elegant and pampered in ways that you don’t always get from other brands. *Le sigh*

Have you tried anything from the Chanel spring 2013 collection?
What are your thought's on the eyeshadow quad?

As ever thank you for reading

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine - 68 Candeur

"il a abusé de ma candeur" - but that's okay!

I've been lusting for it ever since I saw Milkbubbletea do a blog post (which is almost a year ago now) and I always forgot to purchase it. Seeing as it was introduced with last years spring 2012 collection I lost all hope of ever being able to purchase it (being the presumptuous idiot that I am)

So instead I decided to settle for Boy (a blog post on that beauty coming soon!) and whilst I was looking online for that one I found Candeur HURRAH!

Candeur is such a lovely pastel baby pink but is soo flattering on the lips. It's a really natural and beautiful colour - one which I know I will be reaching for time and time again. The formula is really lovely and simply glides onto the lips with such ease it makes applying lipstick seem really effortless. I love how super glossy and moisturising it is (which is soo amazing for my un-neccessarily dry lips) I honestly believe this is the most gorgeous shade ever!

At £24.00 it is a tad expensive for basically a tinted lip product but it is soo worth it and hey it is Chanel after all.

You can't go wrong with Chanel!

Overall I am completely in LOVE with the Rouge Coco Shine collection. It's just the perfect way to wear lipstick and not feel too overdone and (in my opinion) just completes your make-up so effortlessly and glamorously.

What do you think of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine collection?
Have you tried any or are you tempted?
